Requiem pour le Soleil d'Or

Lorsqu'une commanditaire véreuse engage les PJ pour sauver des mercenaires perdus sur Coruscant, ce qui semble être une enquête simple se transforme en un véritable gâchis
𓋹

The PCs meet at a Cantina, where one of them explains what her superior is looking for: a group of four mercenaries, hiding in the low city of Coruscant. They might be wounded and require extraction ASAP. Beside a poor photography of one mercenary, though, there are little leads to follow.

Kejar Vet'ali

Kejar Vet'Ali

The PCs figure out the man on the picture is - or was - a Mandalorian soldier. They manage to find a certain Kejar Vet'ali, stuck on Onderon, who pretends he has information about the young man. Despite the high costs implied by a flight, the team visits Onderon and manage to rescue Kejar from the grasp of the Hutt Cartel - making themselves a formidable foe in the process.

Aaren

The Mercenary: Aaren

𓋹

Kejar explains that the young mercenary is Aaren, a former member of his Mandalorian clan. The boy left years ago and joined a group of mercenaries based on Bakura. The PCs find more information about that team, apparently led by a certain Decebal Vulpesco.

The team follows that lead to an hospital, where refugees from Bakura are known to be taken care of. They infiltrate the place, discover that many oxygen tanks were stolen lately, and find a Rodian mercenary going by the name of Miupo. The Rodian has been selling these tanks to Aaren, and the mercenary went as far as to pay with his precious armor to lay his hands on those.

Soon, the PCs figure that Aaren is trying to save his fellow mercenary Duke. The man is in a state of cerebral death, hidden between two levels of Coruscant, and the PCs ambush a crazed Aaren to capture him. In the process, they barely escape a sniper assault led by none other than the third mercenary of the group. The sniper was aiming for Aaren…

The mystery becomes thicker as it seems the group of mercenaries is split in two. Duke is seemingly dead, kept alive only through the oxygen tank. His skull has been infiltrated by some odd machinery that screw two little holes to his brain. As for Aaren, he is completely useless for now, battered by weeks of survival in an hostile environment.

The Mercenary: Xeli

While they take initiatives to uncover where the other two mercenaries are hiding, one PC is approached by Decebal who reveals himself to be a Force user. He captures the lone PC, brings him back to his hideout and speaks nonsense to him, pretending that "they will soon find the information that they employer is looking for". It becomes clear that this employer is not the PCs', and the rest of the team manages to set up an epic rescue mission to save their colleague and capture the remaining two mercenaries.

The Mercenary: Decebal

Now in possession of an ominous encrypted recording, the PCs wonder if they should simply decode it entirely and find out for themselves what really transpired all along.
